Furniture project to be completed soon

AS the Collin Nyabadza Children’s Voice Charitable Trust (CNCVCT), we are pleased to announce that the $20000 furniture project we have been working on since December 2018 will be completed before February.

Thanks to a donation of USD20 000 grant from the Australian Government. The project is part of our ongoing commitment to creating an enabling environment for rural pupils to learn and realize their full potential. We are going to furniture six disadvantaged primary schools in Matobo and UMguza District benefiting over 4000 pupils.

We are expecting our supplier to deliver furniture batches to some of the schools anytime this week. The schools benefiting from the consignment, four in Matobo Rural District are Mbuso, Guardian Angel, Tjewondo and St. Anna primary schools. The other two in UMguza are Seventh Day Adventist and Hope Fountain primary Schools.

We are grateful to our sponsor for their support and trust, this is the second time in two years the Australians are helping us. In 2017 they donated USD14 100 which we used to furnish five primary schools in Bubi District. They were impressed with the way we carried out the project, overall aims, objectives and our modus operandi.

All of our projects are designed according to schools’ needs and letters of assistance we often receive from schools. In other cases, school-heads directly approach us for help and sometimes we identify schools through our partners who have the experience in living and working as educators in certain schools with abject conditions.
As we speak, we have a compilation of several schools on the waiting list. Some schools do not have adequate furniture while some have dilapidated infrastructure. We therefore appeal to various funding and corporate bodies for support to reach out to these schools with provisions of furniture, building of classrooms, sports equipment and sanitary wear and other educational materials as we run various projects simultaneously.
